Dry Marinades and Seasonings

Dry marinades are flavor enhancers that work naturally to bring out and compliment food's natural flavors. They are called dry marinades because they are more complex then an ordinary seasoning blend or spice rub.

With a dry marinade unlike bottled sauces, there is not waste.  Rocky Mountain Products does not use any Monosodium-glutinate in any of our products. We believe in using natural herbs and spices to coax the flavor out of meats and vegetables.

Dry marinades can be an instant seasoning. Simply dust it on the meat and pop it on the grill. Sprinkle it over your vegetables and saute`or grill. But the best use is to let it sit on your meat for a few hours to season and meld with it before cooking.  Be sure to leave the meat in the refrigerator while its marinating.

Dry marinades don’t drip onto the coals and with little or no sugar in them, there's less of a risk of charring.

Most of our dry marinades and seasonings also make great dips when added with a mixture of sour cream, mayonnaise and cream cheese.  Here's a favorite recipe for a dip.

4 Tablespoons of Southwest Dry Seasoning
1 1/2 cups of Sour Cream
1/2 cup of mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

Mix well.  Use as a compliment to guacamole and salsa with chips.  Dallop on your favorite Mexican entree or use as a salad dressing for taco salad.
